Good News: The yearbook has been printed and delivery is on it’s way to Baguio. Expected date of handing the elusive yearbook will be this week. Don’t go running over the champagne just yet, because this yearbook is a copy only, a prototype for final revision.

But it is important to remember that the works on the yearbook is rather going on smoothly and release date is expected really really soon (We hope). We understand your enthusiasm and we try to feed that with updates so you know something is happening.

Unlike former president GMA who eagerly wants to follow Ramona’s footstep of fleeing away, we don’t want our yearbook to be lost in the horizon, do we?

2-3 weeks ago, the owner of MJC told us that all the layouts, yes 900 pages of them are all done and they are making an index of the yearbook to finalize the pages for final proofing.

Now, final proofing is already on it’s way. The elusive yearbook will be on the hands of the editor in chief by next week. What will happen now is every page will be checked for correction and final revision.

You probably all like “Yearbook shit. Why it takes too long to make a fucking one! Bitch it’s like about a year already! Fucking Scintilla!” But you’re only saying that because the gigantic set of hairy, pulsating testicles on your forehead is blocking the magnificent work and time we give to finish that fucking year book.

Bitch you need to wait longer, Why? The editor in chief plans to hand the fucking yearbook prototype to her Scintilla members, the little fuckers, to check one by one. We are trying to make this shit as perfect as possible.

Not enough? Well, fuck you. How about we tell you that when you have the shit to show to everyone, people will think you’re all cool and get turned on and shit. The next thing you know you’re getting laid and it’s all down to that yearbook because that little fucker is plain sexy-ass.

What’s next? After final proofing, the yearbook will be sent back to MJC for printing that is if you fucking paid!

Last Friday, We (Mark and I) had a talk with Mr. Francisco, the Scintilla yearbook adviser and we discussed a little about the yearbook.

He didn’t asked me to discuss this to everyone but he didn’t asked me not to neither. So with my better judgement, I thought you should know.

The question you might want to ask now is whether the Scintilla yearbook is released and where to get it. I have good news and bad news.

Which do you want first? OK BAD!

I’m sorry to tell you but no. The yearbook is not to be released yet but the iPhone 4S is, at least to 7 countries which you should know by now that that doesn’t include Philippines. But you still can get the new iOS 5 only if you have an Apple mobile device. iOS 5 is currently Jailbreak ready but is limited to tethered boot. Ok let’s go back to the yearbook!

Here’s the good news:

According to Mr. Francisco, MJC finished 700 out of 900 pages! Yay!

So what now? Well, after all the 900 pages are done then a copy will be printed for final proofing, this is when all the final revisions will be made. All grammar, spelling, styling, names etc. will be checked. After the final proofing, the copy with all the corrections (if there is) will be sent back to MJC to correct then it will be printed to the number of subscribers then they will resemble the book, page by page and bind it. Printing and binding alone takes 2-3 months. After that, give MJC 1 month to deliver these elusive books and in no time, the yearbook is in your hands in a dandy!

You will not see the above preview in your yearbook. This is the supposed personal page but was, well dumped. We resorted to a simpler, yet more modern, retro, fresh look so expect that in your yearbook.

Personal pages takes significant amount of time to finish one by one says Sir Ryan, Scintilla’s lay out consultant from MJC Press.

I’d personally say that the Scintilla Centennial yearbook as a whole is bolder than the previous editions, it shouts the word PRIDE page by page, true to it’s unique and detailed design especially the personal pages. No, you will not just see a metro backdrop, dark gradients to put text on and boxed photos. The Scintilla Centennial yearbook consists of small intricate designs, unique photo cuts and personal touch every individual page there is, a page is different from the other personal pages.

I would also stress out here that the number of personal pages doubled.

Talking about the timeline, well according to Sir Ryan he gave Sir Francisco a rough estimate of 4 weeks but 4 weeks is rather a blind shot given.

“tsika lang yung 4 weeks, basta unahin muna gpersonal page, yun kasi ang madugo yung iba nana lang - Sir Ryan”

The final contents and draft for layouts was given to MJC Press last August 2011. The layout team, I (feature writer) and our Editor in Chief spent 2 weeks at MJC Press just to finalize all of these. Now it is up to MJC Press to put all the contents to the final layout, print and it is ready to go, but given that every subscribers settled all their accounts.

The Scintilla Centennial yearbook is 10x10 in size, consisting of 900 pages cover to cover. MJC Press is the official publishing house of Scintilla Yearbook.
